“Single Strikes Won’t Fix Nigeria’s Security Crisis, Warns Ex-US Army Captain”.
A retired United States Army Captain, Bish Johnson, has warned that Nigeria’s security challenges cannot be resolved through a single military strike, emphasizing that the country faces a complex and multifaceted insecurity problem.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking during an interview on ARISE News, Johnson reacted to recent US airstrikes targeting terrorist groups in north-western Nigeria. On Christmas Day, US President Donald Trump announced that American forces had conducted lethal strikes against Islamic State militants in the region, pledging further action should attacks against Christians persist. Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs subsequently confirmed the operation, noting it was part of a “structured security cooperation with international partners, including the United States,” aimed at combating terrorism and violent extremism.
Johnson, however, stressed that terrorism is only one aspect of Nigeria’s broader security crisis. He highlighted ongoing herder-farmer clashes in the Middle Belt, which have claimed thousands of lives and remain unresolved.
“If we don’t diagnose our problem correctly, we are going to come up with the wrong solution,” Johnson said. “Inasmuch as there is an element of terrorism in the North-West, the problem is much more complicated than it is being simplified.”
The retired army officer also referenced religious violence, pointing to the 2022 killing of Deborah Samuel, a Christian student who was lynched and stoned to death in Sokoto State after being accused of blasphemy. Johnson noted that no one has been held accountable for her death, describing it as part of the international scrutiny Nigeria faces regarding religious intolerance.
“Up till now, none of the people responsible for the death of that innocent young lady have been brought to justice,” he said. “These are some of the issues the Americans are observing, which is why they are tagging this as religious persecution.” Johnson added that such incidents complicate Nigeria’s ability to counter international concerns over religious violence and intolerance.
He concluded that addressing Nigeria’s security issues requires a comprehensive approach, acknowledging the interplay of terrorism, ethnic conflicts, and religious tensions across the country.

MILITARY EARTHQUAKE: US Pulls 200 Troops Out Of Nigeria In Sudden Strategic Shocker!.
The United States is getting ready to pull roughly 200 military personnel out of Nigeria, where they were stationed to assist with counterterrorism operations. Citing The New York Times, the main contingent is slated to depart by late September 2026.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
These troops arrived earlier in the year to bolster the ongoing campaign against Islamist extremist groups. Despite their modest numbers, officials from both nations noted that the deployment yielded positive outcomes, with Washington even viewing the strategy—which prioritized intelligence sharing, local coordination, and a small footprint—as a potential blueprint for future African security engagements.
While the bulk of the forces are heading home, a smaller contingent of intelligence experts and military trainers will stay behind to maintain cooperation with Nigerian forces. This impending withdrawal comes on the heels of a May operation backed by the US that led to the elimination of Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, the second-in-command of ISIS in the Lake Chad Basin. Following that success, US Africa Command chief Dagvin Anderson noted that American numbers were trimmed as Nigerian forces pressed forward with their counter-insurgency campaigns. Even with fewer boots on the ground, intelligence-sharing partnerships between the two countries remain firmly in place.

BATTLE LINES DRAWN: Gov. Sani Drops Political Bombshell, Refuses To Speak On El-Rufai, Makarfi And Sambo!.
Ahead of the 2027 presidential race, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has sidestepped questions regarding the political influence of his predecessors—Nasir El-Rufai, Ahmed Makarfi, and Namadi Sambo—during a recent Channels Television interview.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
While addressing shifting political realignments, Sani firmly rejected the narrative that northern voters are abandoning President Bola Tinubu. He asserted that claims of a regional backlash exist primarily on social media rather than in reality, projecting that Tinubu’s vote share in Kaduna will surge dramatically from 29% to between 70% and 80%.
Emphasizing that Kaduna voters do not operate on sentiment, Sani stated:
“I am not here to speak about the former governor, Nasir El-Rufai. I respect him, I respect Makarfi, I respect Namadi Sambo, I respect Governor El-Rufai. They’ve done their best but in politics, I am here to fight for APC and I’m telling you what’s going to happen.”
Addressing reminders that Atiku Abubakar carried Kaduna in the 2023 elections, Sani countered that the political landscape has significantly evolved. He highlighted key shifts, such as prominent opposition figures—especially in southern Kaduna—defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he believes will reshape the voting dynamics.
Concluding his stance on campaign strategy, the governor stressed that electoral success demands direct, on-the-ground engagement rather than distant politicking, noting, “You don’t contest with the President by campaigning in Abuja.”

THE ULTIMATE COURTROOM SHOCKWAVE: KC Luxury Faces Extended Detention And Frozen Bank Accounts In Massive Legal Blow!.
Afolabi Kazeem Micheal, the socialite and jeweler widely known as KC Luxury, faces a prolonged legal battle following an August 20, 2026, ruling by Justice Akintayo Aluko of the Federal High Court in Lagos, which granted the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) an additional 30 days to detain him. KC Luxury was initially apprehended by NDLEA operatives on August 13 at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport while attempting to board a flight to Paris, with the agency linking him to a massive 184.5-kilogram cocaine seizure connected to a courier company. Authorities also reported recovering various currencies—including €7,750, £2,800, and ₦100,000—alongside high-value jewelry at the time of his arrest.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In response to his extended custody, KC Luxury’s legal team filed a challenge before Justice Friday Ogazi. Backed by an affidavit from his father, Eric Afolabi, the family argued that the socialite has been held indefinitely without formal charges or proper notification of the specific offenses against him, labeling the detention an unconstitutional violation of his personal liberty.
Consequently, Justice Ogazi instructed the NDLEA to submit its defense within five days, serve all relevant legal documents to the agency, and ensure KC Luxury is physically presented in court for the upcoming hearing. The substantive application regarding his detention has been scheduled for September 9, 2026.
