Sarki Aliyu Daneji, the lawmaker representing Kano Municipal Local Government Area, was confirmed dead shortly after reports emerged that Aminu Sa’adu, who represented Ungoggo Local Government Area, had also died. The near-simultaneous nature of their passing sent shockwaves across the state and beyond.

The development has left colleagues, political stakeholders, and residents stunned, particularly given the active legislative roles both lawmakers played in the affairs of the Assembly.
