US Raises Red Flag Over Nigeria As Fears Of Christian Genocide Grow.
According to Nivo News, the United States has been conducting intelligence-gathering flights across large parts of Nigeria since late November, signalling a noticeable increase in security cooperation between both countries.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Findings based on flight-tracking records and information from U.S. officials indicate that the purpose of the surveillance missions has not been independently confirmed.
The surveillance activity reportedly followed remarks made in November by former U.S. President Donald Trump, who threatened possible intervention over what he described as Nigeria’s failure to curb violence against Christian communities.
The renewed intelligence operations also come months after a U.S. pilot working with a missionary organisation was abducted in neighbouring Niger, raising security concerns in the wider region.
Flight records from December show that the aircraft involved typically departed from Ghana, flew over Nigerian airspace, and returned to Accra. The data identified the operator as Tenax Aerospace, a Mississippi-based company known for providing special-mission aircraft and maintaining close working ties with the U.S. military. The firm did not respond to enquiries for comment.
An Africa-focused security analyst who reviewed the data said the operation appeared to be coordinated from Accra, which he described as a well-established logistics hub for U.S. military activities on the continent.
The analyst added that the pattern of flights suggested Washington was rebuilding its intelligence footprint in the region following Niger’s decision last year to expel U.S. troops from a key desert air base and pivot towards Russia for security support.
In recent weeks, intelligence and surveillance flights over Nigeria have reportedly resumed, reflecting renewed U.S. engagement in monitoring regional security threats.
A former U.S. official disclosed that the aircraft was among several intelligence assets redeployed to Ghana in November. While the exact number of aircraft involved remains unclear, the missions were said to include tracking the abducted U.S. pilot and gathering intelligence on militant groups operating in Nigeria, including Boko Haram and its offshoot, the Islamic State West Africa Province.
A serving U.S. official confirmed that the aircraft had been operating over Nigeria but declined to provide further details, citing diplomatic sensitivities.
Another senior administration source said Washington continued to work closely with Nigerian authorities to address religious violence, attacks on Christian communities, and the broader threat posed by terrorism.
The U.S. Department of Defense said discussions with Nigerian officials following Trump’s remarks were constructive but declined to comment on intelligence-related activities.
Officials from Nigeria’s military and Ghana’s defence ministry did not respond to requests for comment.
Nigerian authorities have consistently maintained that armed groups target both Muslims and Christians, arguing that claims of targeted Christian persecution oversimplify a complex security challenge and ignore ongoing efforts to safeguard religious freedom.
A Nigerian security source disclosed that during a meeting on November 20 between National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu and U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, both sides agreed on the deployment of air assets to support intelligence-gathering efforts.
Flight records also showed the Tenax Aerospace aircraft at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida on November 7. The base hosts the headquarters of the United States Special Operations Command.
The aircraft later arrived in Ghana on November 24, shortly after the high-level security meeting, and has since conducted near-daily surveillance flights over Nigeria.
The aircraft involved is a Gulfstream V, a long-range jet commonly adapted for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions.

Show Us The Money! Atiku Demands Full List Of ₦501 Billion Power Bond Beneficiaries In Massive Transparency War!.
Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Atiku Abubakar, has called on the federal government to publicly disclose the beneficiaries of the ₦501 billion bond issued to clear debts owed to electricity generation companies (GenCos). This demand follows reports from the Association of Power Generation Companies (APGC) that the bond funds have not been fully disbursed, despite earlier government assurances.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a statement released by his special assistant on public communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku referenced the recent disclosure by APGC CEO, Dr. Joy Ogaji, that the federal government still owes GenCos approximately ₦6.5 trillion. Atiku described Ogaji’s comment—liking the token payments to “rubbing oil on a crying child’s mouth to imply that he had eaten”—as a perfect reflection of the current administration’s approach: “grand announcements, impressive figures, glossy headlines, and very little substance.“
Atiku characterized the situation as a “crisis of credibility,” questioning why the public is repeatedly asked to celebrate fresh borrowing to resolve problems the government claims it already solved. He challenged the administration to publish a detailed breakdown of all payments made under the ₦501 billion bond, including:
-
The names of all GenCos that received payments.
-
The specific amounts paid to each beneficiary.
-
The dates of these transactions.
-
The outstanding balances still owed.
Furthermore, the former vice-president accused the Tinubu administration of relying on “ceremonies” and “headlines” of borrowing rather than addressing the root issues in the power sector. He called for a comprehensive public audit of all power sector intervention funds by oversight bodies, including the National Assembly and the Auditor-General of the Federation.
“Nigerians deserve to know precisely how much has been borrowed, how much has been disbursed, who received the money, and why the debts continue to rise despite repeated claims of settlement,” Atiku stated, emphasizing that public money cannot “disappear into official press statements.“
