Queen Mercy explained that she had returned home around 4 a.m. after an all-night shoot for a friend’s Guinness World Record project. While her younger sister and nanny usually sleep in the sitting room after sewing, they were awake at the time of the collapse—a development she described as divine intervention.
She recounted that the ceiling fell suddenly while they were still awake, forcing them to flee for their lives. The incident followed a similar occurrence weeks earlier, when the POP ceiling in her garage also gave way.
Queen Mercy wrote on Instagram, describing her relief: she had been trying to rest before starting her day when her mother alerted her about the collapse. She confirmed that her sister and nanny were safe, having been upstairs at the time. She also shared her gratitude for their safety while managing preparations for her friend’s Guinness World Record project, which is set to commence soon.
