According to reports, the Emir made the remarks on Saturday while receiving leaders and elders of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Kano State chapter, during a courtesy visit to his palace.

During the meeting, Sanusi highlighted how his early education in a Catholic school shaped his respect for people of all faiths and instilled in him the importance of coexistence. He urged religious leaders to continue praying for enduring peace, particularly in light of recent security challenges in some border areas of the state.

The Emir also called for greater collaboration between different religious groups to foster unity and stability in Kano and across Nigeria. He expressed gratitude to the PFN for presenting him with a Peace Award, describing the recognition as both meaningful and motivating.

Rev. Elkanah Enweluzor, chairman of PFN in Kano State, said the visit aimed to show support for the Emir’s leadership and to acknowledge his ongoing efforts to promote peace and harmony in the region.
