Despite not releasing a new official single or album this year, the 35-year-old Grammy-winning artist dominated music charts across the globe through strategic collaborations. Wizkid emerged as the most-streamed Nigerian artist on both Apple Music and Spotify in 2025, a feat driven by loyal fans and a new generation discovering his sound.
Music analysts highlight that 25 of Wizkid’s songs ranked among the most-streamed tracks on Apple Music Nigeria, while his album Morayo, a tribute to his late mother, became the most-streamed album in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa on the platform. Experts note that the enduring success of a year-old album underscores the lasting appeal and artistry of Wizkid’s work.
