NNPCL Slashes Petrol Prices Again: Abuja Motorists Rejoice.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and several independent marketers have reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) across Abuja. According to industry reports, NNPCL-operated filling stations in the capital have lowered petrol prices to ₦915 per litre from ₦920, reflecting a ₦5 decrease.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Independent marketers, including BOVAS and MRS, have also adjusted their rates, with some outlets now selling petrol at ₦910 per litre, down from previous prices as high as ₦945. Other major stations such as AYM Shafa, NIPCO, Optima, Mobil, Ranoil, and Empire are dispensing petrol at prices ranging from ₦920 to ₦937 per litre, depending on location and depot supply levels.
The reductions come in response to declining ex-depot prices from major depots and refineries. As of Wednesday, petrol was priced at ₦824.50 per litre at Dangote Refinery, ₦823 at Eterna and Aiteo depots, and ₦822 at BOVAS. This latest adjustment by NNPCL follows two consecutive price cuts over the past two weeks, bringing retail prices down by ₦30 from ₦975 per litre.
Despite the reductions, some Nigerians are reportedly avoiding PMS supplied from Dangote Refinery at certain filling stations due to comparatively higher pump prices. MRS stations, in particular, have seen reduced patronage in Abuja, as they sell petrol at rates significantly above their competitors.

Obi-Kwankwaso Movement Is Indeed Organic – Sambo.
Public affairs analyst Sumner Sambo has described the emerging Obi–Kwankwaso (OK) Movement as a natural and encouraging political development ahead of the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
He made the remarks on Thursday during an interview on Prime Time, a programme on Arise News, following the unveiling of a joint support structure for Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Sambo said he was pleased that supporters of both politicians were coming together, stressing that the movement appears to be driven organically from the grassroots rather than by the candidates themselves.
According to him, this kind of alliance reflects a healthy democratic process and should be encouraged.
However, he urged that the movement maintain transparency in its operations, particularly in the area of funding. He noted that with coordinators already appointed across states, zones, and the national level, accountability should be prioritised.
Meanwhile, Peter Obi, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), said his recent visit to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed was aimed at promoting national unity.
The meeting, held at the Presidential Lounge of the Government House in Bauchi, was attended by Igbo elders, ADC senators from the South-East, and other political associates.
Obi said the engagement formed part of broader efforts to strengthen unity in the country and called for collective action toward national renewal, expressing concern about Nigeria’s current challenges.
