PDP Constitutes Osun Guber Appeal Panel, Kabiru Turaki Appointed Chairman.
According to Nivo News, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC) has established an appeal panel ahead of the Osun State gubernatorial primary election. A notice issued by the National Organizing Secretary, Theophilus Dakas Shan, confirmed the appointment of acting National Chairman Kabiru Turaki as the panel’s chairman, with Taofeek Arapaja serving as secretary alongside 22 other members.
The notice stated, “The NWC of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed members of the Osun State Governorship Appeal Panel to consider appeals arising from the conduct of the Governorship Primary Election for the upcoming 2026 Governorship Election in the State. The Appeal is scheduled for Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Bauchi Governors Lodge, Tatari Ali House, behind ECOWAS Secretariat, Asokoro District, Abuja.”
Other members of the panel include Dr. Daniel Ambrose Woyengikuro, Hamza Akuyan Koshe, Ihediwa Richard Nnabugwu, Isa Abubakar, Okechukwu Obiechina Daniel, Theophilus Daka Shan, Ini Ememobong, and Aribisala Adewale Idowu, among others. Emmanuel Ekpe and Suleiman Usman were named Administrative Secretaries.
The notice emphasized that the panel is expected to operate strictly in line with the PDP Constitution (2025 as amended), the Electoral Guidelines for Party Primaries, and the Electoral Act, 2022.

He further revealed that Ibrahim Masari, Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, had formally submitted the nomination forms for Tinubu and Shettima to the party at a ceremony in Abuja. Yilwatda emphasized the APC’s commitment to strengthening grassroots support and building on the current administration’s achievements to create a more prosperous, secure, and inclusive Nigeria.

This follows an announcement by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President, who confirmed on Friday via that security forces had successfully rescued the hostages. In his post, Onanuga also noted that one of the teachers had sent a message of gratitude to the President and the security agencies involved in the mission.
