Pretty Mike, Club Supervisor Arraigned Over Alleged Drug Ring At Victoria Island Nightclub
Popular socialite and entertainer Mike Nwalie, famously known as Pretty Mike, appeared in the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Thursday over alleged drug-related offences. The defendants faced a three-count charge, including conspiracy, illegal possession of hard drugs, and permitting the nightclub to be used for illegal drug activities. The charges, dated October 30, 2025, relate to incidents that allegedly occurred on October 26, 2025, at the nightclub located at No. 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Count One accused both Nwalie and Hillary of conspiring to organise a drug party at the club. During a subsequent NDLEA operation, authorities reportedly recovered 200 grams of Cannabis Sativa and 177 cylinders of Nitrous Oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, weighing a total of 364.662 kilograms. The agency described the substances as harmful and commonly abused.
Count Two, specifically against Hillary, charged him with possession of the 200 grams of Cannabis Sativa without lawful authority on October 25, 2025. Count Three, directed solely at Nwalie in his capacity as the club owner, alleged that he allowed the premises to be used for drug consumption and dealing. The defendants pleaded not guilty. NDLEA counsel Buhari Abdullahi requested a trial date, while defence counsel Dr. B.S. Awosika (SAN) applied for bail, stressing that the defendants had no prior criminal records and that the prosecution bore the burden of proving why bail should be denied.
Justice Ambrose Lewis-Allagoa granted each defendant bail of ₦50,000,000 with two responsible sureties of equal sum and directed that the sureties submit an affidavit of means.
