Ogidi compared the current crisis to the 2016–2017 leadership struggle involving Ali Modu Sheriff, recalling that the party overcame similar challenges and continued its processes despite court battles.

He also refuted claims that the PDP failed to conduct valid congresses in 12 states, stating that the issues were limited to isolated wards and emphasizing that no state or member would be sidelined.

Regarding the legality of continuing convention preparations amid the court order, Ogidi stressed that the party had filed an appeal and would seek a stay of execution, affirming confidence that the convention scheduled for November 15–16 would proceed.

Despite the ongoing dispute, Ogidi expressed optimism that the PDP would emerge stronger, maintaining that the appeal process would succeed and the convention would be successfully conducted.
