Countdown Begins: Joshua’s February Comeback Fight To Hold In Ghana, London, Or Saudi Arabia.

Nigerian-born British heavyweight star, Anthony Joshua, is preparing for a highly anticipated return to the boxing ring, with his next fight expected to take place in February 2026.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to Nivo News, Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, confirmed that discussions are ongoing, with Ghana, Saudi Arabia, and London emerging as the top contenders to host the bout.

There had been growing speculation that Joshua might finally fight in Nigeria, the country of his roots. However, Hearn has now ruled out that possibility, explaining that logistical and promotional factors are guiding the decision.

“I think February is the date we’re moving towards now. In Saudi Arabia, in Ghana, or in London. I’ll be honest with you, it depends on what happens with the Tyson Fury fight because we know that His Excellency is discussing that fight with us,” Hearn said in a recent interview.

Joshua last fought in September 2024, when he suffered a fifth-round knockout loss to Daniel Dubois, then the IBF heavyweight champion. The defeat disrupted his impressive run of victories over Otto Wallin, Francis Ngannou, and Robert Helenius.

Following a minor elbow surgery, the former two-time world champion has focused on recovery and training, with his camp emphasizing a gradual return to full form. Hearn also disclosed that the long-term goal remains a mega showdown with fellow British icon Tyson Fury, possibly by mid-2026.

“Now we have no knowledge of how he’s getting on with Tyson Fury. And this is how he works: he’ll do our deal, then try to do a deal with Tyson Fury, or vice versa. So for us, we haven’t done our deal yet to fight Tyson Fury, but we are discussing it … we’re in,” Hearn added.

The potential Joshua–Fury clash remains one of the most anticipated fights in modern boxing history. Despite both men entering the latter stages of their careers, fans across the globe are eager to see the two British champions finally meet in the ring.

An official announcement regarding Joshua’s next opponent and fight venue is expected before the end of 2025.

ADC chieftain and publisher, Dele Momodu, has dismissed calls for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to withdraw from the 2027 presidential race, describing the push as unfair and politically motivated.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Momodu was reacting to comments by activist Zekeri Idris Jnr, a supporter of Peter Obi, who urged Atiku to step aside over concerns about his age, which would be about 80 by 2027.

In a post on his X handle on Saturday, Momodu said attention should be focused on holding the government accountable rather than targeting Atiku’s political ambition.

The exchange followed a viral video where Idris insisted that Atiku should support younger aspirants instead of contesting, arguing that voters would not back an elderly candidate.

Idris also suggested that Atiku should act as a statesman and support younger politicians such as Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and others.

Responding, Momodu cited several world leaders who held office at advanced ages, arguing that experience should not be dismissed in leadership discussions.

He questioned what should disqualify Atiku from contesting, insisting that age alone is not a valid reason.

Atiku, who lost the 2023 presidential election to President Bola Tinubu, is reportedly considering another run in 2027 under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
