UBOMI 8.0 Set To Deliver 10,000 Free Medical Services Across Lagos.
According to Nivo News, the Pistis Foundation has unveiled its highly anticipated UBOMI 8.0 Medical and Surgical Outreach, which is set to run from October 27 to 31, 2025, in Lagos State. The flagship initiative aims to deliver over 10,000 free medical and surgical interventions to vulnerable and underserved communities across the state.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The five-day outreach will provide a wide range of primary and secondary healthcare services, including general surgeries, eye and dental care, maternal and child health services, medical screenings, consultations, and community health education — all offered at no cost to beneficiaries.
The announcement was made during the Foundation’s 7th Anniversary press briefing, where UBOMI was celebrated as one of the most impactful social intervention projects initiated by The Elevation Church. The initiative continues to bridge healthcare gaps and uplift disadvantaged communities through accessible and compassionate medical services.
In September 2025, UBOMI extended its mission of restoring dignity and hope to inmates of the Kirikiri Correctional Centres — covering the Maximum, Medium, and Female facilities — where over 1,350 inmates received free medical consultations, treatments, medications, and hygiene supplies. The intervention, supported by more than 80 volunteers, was the first of its kind by the Foundation within a correctional environment.
Speaking on the upcoming outreach, the Executive Director of Pistis Foundation, Leonard F. Thomas, said, “UBOMI is about restoring dignity, hope, and the assurance that every life matters. By expanding healthcare access to the most underserved — from inner-city communities to correctional facilities — we are demonstrating that compassion has no boundaries.”
As preparations intensify for UBOMI 8.0, the Foundation is calling on individual donors, philanthropists, NGOs, corporate organisations, healthcare providers, and development partners to support its mission. Pistis Foundation emphasised that such partnerships are vital to sustaining and expanding the reach of free healthcare services for those who need them most.
