2027: APC Declares Tinubu Unstoppable, Says Ethnic Politics Dead In Nigeria.

Published

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has insisted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains unbeatable as the 2027 general elections draw closer, saying that attempts to use ethnic or religious sentiment against him will fail.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to Nivo News, the Lagos State chapter of the APC made this known in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, on Saturday. The party maintained that Nigerian politics has evolved beyond divisive strategies centered on tribe and religion.

Oladejo’s remark came in response to recent comments by Dele Momodu, who suggested that opposition parties could only unseat Tinubu by consolidating Northern votes through a strong regional candidate.

Reacting to the assertion, Oladejo dismissed Momodu’s view as outdated, emphasizing that Nigerians are now more interested in capable leadership rather than divisive rhetoric. He said the era of weaponizing ethnicity to seize power has ended, noting that the electorate now prioritizes performance, vision, and consistency in leadership.

“The Nigerian people have grown wiser. They know that leadership is about delivery, not division. It’s about competence, not commentary from the sidelines,” Oladejo stated.

He further advised Momodu, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), to concentrate on building his new political home rather than making futile political predictions.

Oladejo also projected a crushing defeat for opposition parties in 2027, asserting that the election would serve as a clear referendum on competence and performance.

“This administration has demonstrated that leadership is defined by ideas, not identity. Political realists already know that the opposition’s defeat in 2027 is inevitable. The coming election will not be about ethnicity or sentiment—it will be about results, and in that arena, Tinubu stands tall,” he concluded.

Makinde urged Nigerians to unite and support the APM, describing the upcoming election as a historic chance to salvage the nation from the alleged failure of the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.

APM Alleges FG Is Intimidated by Makinde’s Popularity

In a related development, the APM has claimed that President Bola Tinubu and the ruling APC are unnerved by Governor Makinde’s surging political profile. The party leveled this accusation following Makinde’s exclusion from Monday’s flag-off ceremony for the Ibadan-Ijebu Ode road project.

In a statement released on Tuesday by National Publicity Secretary Abubakar Yusuf, the party alleged that the presidency deliberately sidelined Makinde out of fear that his superior track record—such as completing over 360 kilometers of roads in Oyo State alone since 2023, compared to the federal government’s regional footprint—would expose presidential shortcomings. The APM maintained that the APC is deeply uneasy about Makinde’s rising national appeal and his ability to rally political leaders across party lines.

FALLOUT OVER THE POLLS: Femi Falana Drops Bombshell, Declares Osun Governorship Election Must Never Reach The Courts!.

Published

Renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN) has asserted that the outcome of the recent Osun State governorship election should not be dragged to court, emphasizing that the electorate has already spoken decisively through the ballot box.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking on Arise Television’s Sunrise Daily on Wednesday, the legal luminary criticized the practice of courts determining election winners, arguing that such judicial intervention undermines voter sovereignty and makes a mockery of popular choices. He stressed that the judiciary’s role in democratic processes should be extremely limited, especially when a proper poll has produced a clear winner, and warned that Nigeria remains ill-prepared to handle future electoral disputes unless the scope of judicial involvement is redefined.

Curbing Technicalities and Ensuring Credible Polls

Falana cautioned against courts hiding behind technicalities to overturn the genuine will of the people. He noted that reducing election tribunal cases starts with improving the integrity and quality of elections conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). By focusing on transparent processes that reflect actual votes cast, stakeholders can prevent unnecessary legal battles and restore total confidence in the democratic mandate of the electorate.
