Fubara Vows To Complete 62.6km Port Harcourt Ring Road Project Despite Challenges.

According to Nivo News, Governor Fubara made this assurance during an inspection tour of the project on Monday. Accompanied by top government officials, the governor expressed satisfaction with the renewed pace of work and commended the construction company, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, for returning to the site.
Speaking at the Eneka Flyover section, Fubara explained that the state government had been in constant discussions with the contractor to resolve issues that led to a temporary withdrawal from the project due to funding constraints. He noted that those conversations had yielded positive results, as the company had resumed work in earnest.
“You are aware that this project was not abandoned, but work was suspended at some point because of financial challenges. We have since engaged the contractor, and though all discussions are not yet concluded, they have already returned to the site, and I came here to confirm that,” the governor said.
Describing the Port Harcourt Ring Road as one of the most ambitious infrastructural projects in Rivers State’s history, Fubara highlighted its strategic importance. The road, which spans six local government areas, is expected to significantly decongest Port Harcourt city, enhance transportation, and boost economic activity across the state once completed.
Governor Fubara reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to sustain investments in infrastructure as a cornerstone of economic growth and social advancement. “I want to assure our good people of Rivers State that this project will be completed by the special grace of God. We owe it to our people to deliver on our commitments, and this project will not be an exception,” he declared.
