The military also confirmed that 39 insurgents surrendered, while troops recovered 63 assorted weapons and over 4,400 rounds of ammunition. Items such as grenades, IED components, vehicles, motorcycles, and communication devices used by criminal elements were also seized.

Maj.-Gen. Markus Kangye, Director of Defence Media Operations, stated that the operations were executed under several joint task forces, including Operations Hadin Kai, Whirl Stroke, Delta Safe, Enduring Peace, Fansan Yamma, and Udo Ka. He emphasized that the missions were carried out with precision, coordination, and a strong commitment to protecting civilians.

In the Northeast, troops sustained aggressive offensives against Boko Haram, ISWAP, and JAS fighters across Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa States, leading to the elimination of several terrorists and the dismantling of their supply chains. Similarly, clearance operations in Zamfara, Sokoto, Kano, Kebbi, and Katsina States neutralized bandits, rescued kidnapped victims, and led to the arrest of dozens of suspects. In the North Central region, troops responded to distress calls in Plateau, Kaduna, Benue, and Kogi States, killing extremists, recovering weapons, and freeing victims held captive.

In the South-South, the military struck heavily against oil thieves, destroying 41 illegal refining sites and foiling crude oil theft worth over ₦112 million. Large volumes of petroleum products, equipment, and storage facilities were also seized. The DHQ described these economic sabotage operations as critical to Nigeria’s stability and environmental protection. In the Southeast, security forces dismantled terror networks in Anambra and Imo States, killing and arresting suspects while recovering arms and vehicles.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Command in Kebbi State confirmed that three suspected bandits were neutralized during a fierce gun battle in Dandi Local Government Area, where a motorcycle was also recovered.

The DHQ also revealed that 16 military officers have been arrested and will face trial for misconduct and breaches of service regulations. The high command stressed that the disciplinary measures were aimed at upholding professionalism, accountability, and loyalty within the Armed Forces.

The defence spokesman reiterated that the military remains fully committed to transparency, accountability, and the lawful execution of its constitutional duties. He assured Nigerians that ongoing operations will continue to target terrorists, economic saboteurs, and other criminals until stability and peace are restored nationwide.
