According to Nivo News, armed bandits unleashed terror on residents of Zamfara State on Friday evening, killing and abducting several people in the process. The attackers reportedly blocked the busy Mayanchi–Anka road, halting motorists and unleashing violence before whisking victims away.An eyewitness, Malam Muhammad Ahmad, who narrowly escaped, recounted that the assailants were heavily armed and ruthless in their operation. He explained that many travelers were forced to flee into nearby bushes to save their lives. According to him, his colleague, Abubakar Lawali Sardauna, was shot dead after refusing to follow the bandits into captivity.
