Tinubu, while addressing mourners, stressed the importance of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence. He noted that despite practicing Islam, his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is a Christian pastor who constantly prays for him, emphasizing that freedom of religion and love for humanity should be prioritized over divisions.

He stated that Nigerians must rise above ethnic and religious differences, stressing that “our love for one another is what truly matters.”

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, who also spoke at the service, commended the president for honoring the state with his presence despite his busy schedule. He assured that his administration was committed to restoring peace and addressing insecurity, which he described as a major setback to the state’s development. Mutfwang also appreciated the First Lady for her support to displaced persons, women, and children in Plateau.

In an emotional tribute, APC National Chairman Prof. Yilwatda described his late mother as a strong, loyal, and selfless woman who lived a life of sacrifice and service to humanity. He recounted her generosity and unwavering commitment to her community, noting that she always shared whatever she had with others.

Yilwatda expressed gratitude to the president, governors, lawmakers, and Nigerians for standing with his family during their time of grief. The late matriarch, who passed away at the age of 83, will be laid to rest in Dungung, Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State.
