Eyewitnesses said the teenager was attempting to cross the busy expressway when a speeding vehicle struck her and sped off without stopping. The identity of the victim has not yet been confirmed, and her lifeless body was still lying by the roadside as stunned residents gathered at the scene.

Mr. Ibrahim Adebayo, a mechanic who witnessed the incident, recounted the tragic moment. He said the girl appeared hesitant but determined to cross the road before the vehicle hit her at high speed. “The driver didn’t even slow down; he just kept going. It was a terrible sight,” he lamented.

Another witness, Mrs. Yetunde Balogun, a food vendor nearby, suggested that the victim looked like a secondary school student. “She was very young, and nobody here seems to know her. Since the accident happened, no one has come forward to claim her,” she said.
