BBNaija S10 Erupts: Kola Fans Threaten Lawsuit Over Vicious Smear Campaign

Published

According to Nivo News, Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Kola Omotoso, has found himself at the centre of a heated social media storm after a playful Truth or Dare kiss with fellow contestant Dede spiraled into intense online backlash.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

What began as light-hearted banter inside Biggie’s house quickly bled into public timelines, with critics accusing Kola of “crossing lines” and dissecting his growing closeness to Dede. The controversy traces back to a private conversation on Friday, when Dede asked Kola to stop talking about other people and focus on “more personal things.” Kola agreed, telling her they should instead discuss “what we have going on.”

Clips of this exchange, paired with footage of the Truth or Dare kiss, went viral and fueled speculation about Kola’s intentions. The uproar escalated so rapidly that Kola’s fan base issued an official statement on Friday night, condemning what they described as a smear campaign and warning that defamatory attacks would not go unanswered.

“Kola has recently faced a wave of online backlash, with accusations and name-calling taking over social media spaces,” the statement read. According to the family, the criticism has shifted from mild insults like “mumu” and “simp” to more dangerous and unfounded allegations such as “rapist,” “predator,” and “abuser.”

They described these labels as calculated, malicious, and entirely baseless, insisting that Kola has conducted himself with dignity and respect towards all housemates, particularly women. “From the start, he has shown restraint and self-control, never crossing boundaries set by anyone, even during the Thursday and Saturday night parties,” they noted.

The family further warned that twisting an innocent conversation to damage Kola’s reputation was “dead on arrival,” and they vowed to pursue immediate legal action against anyone who continues to circulate defamatory content. “Labels like these carry consequences far beyond the show. They can destroy lives, careers, and futures,” the statement read.

With viewers now divided between #TeamKola supporters and critics calling for his eviction, the incident has dramatically shifted the dynamics of BBNaija Season 10. Whether Kola weathers the storm—or falls victim to the court of public opinion—remains to be seen.

Oloyede said many of the issues recorded during the mock exercise were due to poor assessment of centres by some technical officials.

He further stated that incentive packages would be awarded to teams that perform exceptionally, particularly in handling exam materials and submitting timely reports.

Reiterating JAMB’s zero-tolerance stance on malpractice, he warned candidates against bringing prohibited items into examination halls.
