Tinubu expressed satisfaction with what he described as “productive engagements” with world leaders and international business communities. He wrote, “It feels good to be back home in Nigeria after our recent engagements in Japan and Brazil. In 2023, you entrusted me with the responsibility of restoring our pride and dignity on the global stage, and I remain fully committed to that mission. Every handshake, every agreement, and every meeting is guided by one goal: to secure opportunities that translate into growth, jobs, and prosperity for Nigerians.”
According to the President, his official visit to Japan strengthened bilateral relations, creating avenues for investment in industry, technology, and human capital development. Discussions in Brazil, he added, focused on enhancing cooperation in trade, agriculture, aviation, and finance.
Tinubu also met with Nigerian business leaders in the diaspora during the trip, urging them to renew confidence in the country’s economy. “This is the new Nigeria we are building together — a Nigeria founded on sustainable reforms that will outlast us, not one driven by rhetoric. A Nigeria that is confident abroad, resilient at home, and committed to creating value for every citizen, both within and outside our borders. The journey is not without challenges, but with unity of purpose and the courage to reform, I firmly believe the best is on the horizon,” he said.
The President returned to Abuja on Thursday morning after his international engagements. His spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that the presidential jet departed Brasília International Airport Air Force Base at 12:57 p.m. local time on Wednesday, landing in Abuja in the early hours of Thursday.

-
Officials were urged to proactively identify and report any potential challenges or individuals that might sabotage the party’s efforts before the election occurs.
-
The chairman stressed that victory must be secured through genuine grassroots mobilization and real votes, rather than seeking shortcuts.
Warning Against Anti-Party Activities
Onyedebelu issued a stern caution to members regarding anti-party activities, noting that those who undermine their own party should not expect to benefit from the opposition. He explained that if the opposition wins, they will prioritize rewarding their own loyal members before considering anyone who worked against their own party. Furthermore, he identified the 2027 cycle as a crucial milestone for the Owerri Zone, particularly regarding its ambition to produce the next Governor of Imo State.
Party Mobilization
The meeting, organized by the State Working Committee, was described by State Secretary Onyekachi Ibezim as a vital opportunity to engage with grassroots leadership, whom he labeled the “engine room” of the party. In response to the committee, Justus Ogu, the APC State Vice Chairman for the Owerri Zone, pledged that the zone would remain loyal and deliver comprehensive victories for all APC candidates, ranging from the presidential level to the state House of Assembly.
