Captain William Troost-Ekong, Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman headline the list as Nigeria seeks to secure maximum points and reinforce its push for a return to football’s biggest stage.

The Super Eagles will host Rwanda’s Amavubi at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, September 6, before traveling to Bloemfontein to face South Africa’s Bafana Bafana on September 9.

Finidi has retained faith in his key regulars, including goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali—despite fitness concerns—Fulham defender Calvin Bassey, Nottingham Forest full-back Ola Aina, and midfield anchor Wilfred Ndidi. Everton’s Alex Iwobi, Club Brugge’s Raphael Onyedika, and Brentford’s Frank Onyeka bolster the midfield, while Samuel Chukwueze, Simon Moses, and Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers strengthen the frontline.

The squad also features notable returns and fresh inclusions. Greece-based goalkeeper Adeleye Adebayo is recalled, while Werder Bremen’s Felix Agu and Belgian defender Benjamin Fredericks, standout performers at the recent Unity Cup, earn first-team spots. Forwards Tolu Arokodare of KRC Genk and Getafe’s Christantus Uche, who impressed in June’s friendly against Russia, are also included.
