Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has assured support for both Comfort Emmanson, the passenger involved in a recent dispute with Ibom Air, and the state-owned airline itself.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking at a grand reception held in his honour on Saturday in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, the governor described Emmanson and Ibom Air as valuable assets of the state deserving collective backing.

According to Nivo News, Eno stressed that the airline represents Akwa Ibom’s pride and investment. “The lady is our daughter. We will continue to support our flagship airline, Ibom Air. Every Akwa Ibom person should be proud of the airline which has flown our colours. Our money is invested in Ibom Air, so you should be proud of the airline,” he said.

Emmanson, an indigene of Akwa Ibom, was earlier remanded following a confrontation with Ibom Air crew members but later received a pardon from the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo. She recently told journalists that the ordeal left her traumatised and feeling her dignity had been violated. “I have been unable to move around and interact with people any longer as my body had been unduly exposed,” she said.

Governor Eno urged the public to avoid taking sides, describing the episode as a minor misunderstanding. “If there was any crisis, do not join issues with others who are spoilers because they don’t love good things. Whatever had transpired, we will solve the problem. Both parties belong to us. When two people fight, there is always the third person to separate the fight,” he added.
