According to Nivo News, KAROTA Managing Director Faisal Mahmud Kabir noted that the Yusuf administration had made significant investments in installing solar-powered traffic lights across the city and urged road users to comply with the rules. He warned that anyone caught ignoring traffic signals would face immediate prosecution.

“From today, any vehicle owner who disregards traffic lights will be apprehended by KAROTA officials in collaboration with security agencies and tried instantly in our mobile courts,” Kabir said, emphasizing that the initiative is designed to protect lives rather than punish motorists.

He stressed that the courts are not intended to harass drivers or tricycle operators, but to ensure discipline, safeguard property, and maintain smooth traffic flow. Kabir further pledged that KAROTA would continue implementing transport policies centered on the public interest under the Yusuf administration.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kano Sector Command has expressed full support for the program, vowing to assist KAROTA in apprehending offenders and ensuring strict compliance with traffic laws.
