Actress Kemi Afolabi Opens Up: “I’ve Written My Will, Bought My Burial Plot”
Nollywood actress Kemi Afolabi has candidly shared her harrowing experience battling lupus, revealing that the severity of the illness once led her to believe she would not survive. In a recent interview, she disclosed that at the height of her health crisis, she was unable to eat or drink, depended on oxygen for breathing, and had even purchased a burial plot and written her will.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Afolabi explained that lupus, an autoimmune disease that causes the immune system to attack the body’s own organs, was unfamiliar to her until she was diagnosed. The disease brought on intense joint pain, which she described as far worse than childbirth. She also recounted enduring multiple incorrect diagnoses at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) before traveling abroad to receive the correct diagnosis.
The actress emphasized that lupus currently has no cure and that she manages the condition through daily medications and injections. She frequently travels overseas for treatment and has had to limit her exposure to light, a change that has impacted her acting career.
Reflecting on her ordeal, Afolabi stated, “When I was down with lupus, I thought my time had come. I couldn’t eat or drink and was using oxygen to breathe. I had already bought my burial site and written my will, but God said it was not yet my time. I survived through divine intervention and the support of my family, friends, and colleagues. Lupus has claimed many lives; I had never heard of it until I experienced it myself. It is an autoimmune disease that causes the body to work against itself, preventing organs from functioning properly.
“At the onset, every joint in my body ached severely — more intensely than childbirth. I was misdiagnosed with several conditions at LUTH before being correctly diagnosed with lupus abroad. Although incurable, I continue to manage it with medications and daily injections. I must also avoid prolonged exposure to light, which has affected my acting. Many rumors circulated about my condition, but the most hurtful was when someone claimed I was spiritually used.”

You Don’t Know How To Honour God, I’ll Send You Away – Victoria Orenze Blasts Worshippers Recording Ministration.
Gospel singer Victoria Orenze has warned worshippers against recording videos on their phones during her ministrations, urging them to put their devices away and focus on connecting with God.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Orenze expressed her displeasure with the practice during a ministration, arguing that many worshippers were more interested in capturing spiritual moments on camera than having a personal encounter with God.
The singer warned that she would send people away if they continued recording, accusing them of failing to honour God and show respect for His presence.
“Don’t use your phones, I will send you far away from here. You don’t know how to honour God. You don’t know how to respect the Spirit of God. Everything is about capturing, and yet you will have nothing inside. You want to capture? Capture in your heart. Drop those phones. Have an encounter with God,” she said.
Orenze questioned why worshippers felt the need to record every moment, insisting that spiritual experiences should be preserved in their hearts rather than through phone videos.
She also criticised what she described as the excessive dependence on phones among the younger generation, saying the habit could distract people from meaningful spiritual encounters.
Drawing examples from biblical accounts, the singer referenced Blind Bartimaeus, who cried out to Jesus for help, and the woman with the issue of blood, who sought healing when Jesus passed by.
According to Orenze, neither of them was concerned with recording the moment, as their focus was on receiving divine intervention.
She challenged worshippers to approach ministration with the same level of faith and urgency, stressing that those genuinely seeking an encounter with God should prioritise prayer and spiritual engagement over making videos.

Breaking: Ogun Government Takes Drastic Action Against Eselu Of Iselu Kingdom.
The Ogun State Government has suspended the Eselu of Iselu Kingdom, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, over allegations of involvement in partisan political activities.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The suspension was approved by the State Executive Council in accordance with Section 52(1) of the Ogun State Obas and Chiefs Law, 2021, pending an investigation into the allegations against the monarch.
The decision was conveyed in a letter dated October 20, 2026, signed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ganiyu Hamzat.
According to the letter, the government acted following several complaints concerning the traditional ruler’s conduct, particularly allegations that he openly engaged in political activities in support of partisan interests.
The government noted that some of the alleged activities had reportedly been made public by the monarch himself.
It maintained that partisan political involvement was contrary to the customary laws governing traditional institutions and prohibited under the relevant legislation.
The state government also expressed concern that the alleged conduct could undermine the dignity and respect associated with the traditional institution.
It warned that such activities could threaten peaceful coexistence among residents of Iselu Kingdom, especially those with differing political affiliations.
The government explained that the suspension was necessary to preserve peace, maintain order and promote good governance in Iselu Kingdom and Ogun State while the allegations were being investigated.
As part of the suspension conditions, Oba Akinyemi was directed to vacate the palace and prohibited from entering the premises throughout the period of his suspension.
He was also barred from wearing or using the crown, beaded staff and other insignia associated with his position as a traditional ruler.
Furthermore, the monarch was instructed to make himself available whenever the state government convenes a meeting or hearing to investigate the allegations against him.
The government added that copies of the suspension letter had been forwarded to the Secretary of Yewa North Local Government and the Ogun State Commissioner of Police for their information and necessary action.

Tension Erupts As Barcelona Report PSG To UEFA Over Explosive Tifo Display.
Barcelona have lodged a complaint with UEFA against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) over a controversial banner displayed by the French club’s supporters ahead of their 4-2 Champions League victory at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday, October 20.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to ESPN, PSG fans unveiled a giant tifo before kick-off depicting a masked figure wielding a chainsaw to destroy Barcelona’s badge. The display carried the message, “Massacre, Parisian style.”
The supporters also used pyrotechnics to create the illusion of sparks flying from the chainsaw as it cut through the Spanish club’s crest.
Barcelona reportedly viewed the imagery as excessively aggressive and offensive, prompting the club to file a formal complaint with UEFA.
The controversy added to the drama surrounding the meeting between the European giants, although PSG went on to maintain their winning start to this season’s Champions League campaign.
Desire Doue, Lucas Hernandez, Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz scored for the reigning European champions, while Xavi Espart and Lamine Yamal found the net for Barcelona.
Barcelona twice fought back to level the score through Espart and Yamal. However, Vitinha restored PSG’s advantage shortly after Yamal’s equaliser before Ruiz struck five minutes later to secure the victory.
The result ended Barcelona’s 11-match winning streak and handed manager Hansi Flick his first defeat of the season.
After the match, PSG head coach Luis Enrique praised his players for their attacking performance and ability to withstand Barcelona’s pressure.
“What an atmosphere! The tifos from our fans were, once again, unbelievable. I think we witnessed two teams playing incredible football, such attacking football. We showed our level,” Enrique said, according to PSG’s official website.
The Spanish coach described PSG’s first-half performance as exceptional but acknowledged that his side struggled during the opening 15 minutes of the second half.
“It was a very competitive match; I think our first half was exceptional before we struggled in the first 15 minutes of the second half. It was hard to keep control of the game, but then we were able to create more scoring chances and win the match,” he added.
Enrique also praised his substitutes for helping the team regain momentum, emphasising the importance of continuing their progress.
Both teams will now shift their focus to domestic competitions this weekend. PSG are set to face Lyon in a Ligue 1 clash, while Barcelona will host arch-rivals Real Madrid in the highly anticipated El Clásico.
