Providing more details, Kunle Afod took to his Instagram on Saturday to reveal that Oloto died shortly after seeking medical attention at a hospital near his church.
Afod explained that the late actor had gone to church before heading to the hospital to complain about his health. Tragically, he passed away immediately after speaking with the receptionist.
In his words:
“Odunayo Olufemi Oloto. I still can’t believe you’re gone. The news came as a complete shock. You went to church, then crossed to the hospital nearby to complain. You sat with the receptionist to explain how you were feeling—but died right there.
What a life. Vanity upon vanity, all is vanity. Rest in peace, my friend. It’s a wrap.”
Yul Edochie Blames Rising Deaths on Abandonment of Traditional Religion
In a related development, popular actor Yul Edochie has voiced deep concern over the alarming rate of premature deaths in Nigeria, particularly across the southeastern region.
The filmmaker, writing on Facebook, recounted a recent road trip from Anambra State to Arochukwu in Abia State, where he was struck by the overwhelming number of obituary posters he saw.
Edochie attributed the trend to the widespread rejection of traditional religious practices, arguing that the spirits of the ancestors are angry due to being ignored and dishonored.
He urged Nigerians to return to indigenous spiritual paths, insisting that doing so would bring about healing and divine intervention.
“Our ancestors are upset. They’ve been neglected,” Edochie stated.
“If we go back to our roots and reconnect with our ancestral spirits, they will rise and fight our battles. Nigeria urgently needs spiritual cleansing.”
