Udom’s Successor Delivers Jobs: 3,000 Vacancies Open in Akwa Ibom Civil Service
The Akwa Ibom State Government has approved the recruitment of 3,000 qualified professionals into its Mainstream Civil Service — a strategic effort aimed at enhancing public service delivery and creating employment opportunities for the youth.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The recruitment, sanctioned by Governor Umo Eno, will span multiple sectors including education, healthcare, law, engineering, agriculture, science, and administration.
Announcing the development on Monday, Commissioner for Science and Digital Economy, Frank Ekpenyong, said the entire process will be conducted exclusively through the ARISE Youth Employment Portal at https://employment.akwaibomstate.gov.ng.
Describing the initiative as part of the governor’s ARISE Agenda, Ekpenyong emphasized its alignment with the state’s commitment to transparency and youth-focused job creation.
“These appointments cover all fields and grades — from teachers, nurses, engineers, and technicians to administrators, lawyers, scientists, accountants, and agriculturists,” the statement noted.
Applicants are required to create a profile on the portal and upload all necessary documents, including academic credentials, NYSC discharge or exemption certificates, and other relevant qualifications. Only one application per candidate is permitted, and a valid email address will serve as the primary mode of communication.
Once the application window closes, shortlisted candidates will be notified via the portal and prompted to confirm their interest. They will then receive QR-coded interview invitations.
Some positions may involve an aptitude test, with specific instructions and test dates provided through the portal. Applicants must bring their printed interview slips, original certificates, and writing materials to the assessment venue.
Those who successfully pass all stages will be notified through the portal and assigned to appropriate departments for documentation and onboarding.
“Upon confirmation of your appointment, your status on the ARISE Employment Portal will reflect as ‘Employed,’” Ekpenyong said.
He also disclosed that various ministries and agencies are currently finalizing their vacancy lists, which are expected to be published on or before July 31, 2025.
