APC Fires Back: ‘Only the Insane Speak of Insanity’ as PDP Brags About 2027”

The ruling party’s reaction came after PDP National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba told journalists in Abuja on Monday that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is “bad market” and unfit to seek re‑election in 2027, boasting that the PDP remains the only party capable of defeating him.

In a swift response, APC’s Director of Publicity Bala Ibrahim said Tinubu enjoys the overwhelming support of patriotic Nigerians and would be backed again in 2027. Ibrahim went further to liken the PDP to “a patient in the Intensive Care Unit,” saying it lacks the stability to assess others.

“The insane cannot talk about insanity,” Ibrahim told Punch. “The PDP is in the intensive care unit of the hospital right now; it is in no position to evaluate the mental state or market value of anyone. Under normal circumstances, a patient cannot diagnose another’s health condition.”

He stressed that the APC under President Tinubu remains the largest and most united party in Africa and is steering Nigeria toward prosperity:

“Today, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is giving Nigeria the leadership it needs. He has renewed the hope of millions, and patriotic Nigerians will stand by him in 2027,” Ibrahim said.

He concluded by challenging the PDP to first put its own house in order:

“Any party that cannot manage its own affairs has no moral right to speak on the affairs of another. That is exactly the PDP’s predicament today.”
