Osimhen Chase Heats Up: Napoli Reject Galatasaray’s Offer, Insist on Total Payment Now

Napoli have rejected a renewed €70 million bid from Turkish giants Galatasaray for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, despite the offer including full financial guarantees.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on Friday, July 12, revealing that Galatasaray submitted an official proposal earlier in the day, backed by bank documents assuring payment. However, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis declined the offer.

“Understand Napoli have now rejected new formal proposal sent by Galatasaray today for Victor Osimhen,” Romano posted on .
“Galatasaray offered €70m today with bank documents attached for payment guarantees… Napoli president De Laurentiis wants €75m guaranteed and has rejected.”

The move marks yet another dramatic turn in the long-running transfer saga involving Osimhen, who has been a top target for the Istanbul club for months.

Earlier reports had indicated that both sides were nearing an agreement, with Galatasaray proposing to meet Osimhen’s €75 million release clause through structured instalments—a plan seemingly acceptable to Napoli at the time.

However, the Italian club now appears to have hardened its stance. Sources suggest Napoli are insisting on a one-time, lump-sum payment of the entire €75 million, rejecting any form of staggered settlement—even with financial guarantees already in place.

This firm posture has led to speculation that Napoli may be attempting to steer Osimhen toward a more lucrative deal from Saudi Arabia. Yet, the Super Eagles forward has reportedly made his intentions clear: he wants to stay in Europe.

Osimhen, who enjoyed a successful loan stint at Galatasaray last season, is said to have rejected a blockbuster offer from Al-Hilal, reaffirming his desire to continue playing at the highest level in European football.

Meanwhile, Nigerian sports journalist Buchi Laba previously revealed that Galatasaray had already met the €75 million valuation in an earlier bid—yet that too was dismissed by Napoli—further fueling questions about the club’s real motives in the negotiations.
