According to NIVONEWS, Governor Mohammed gave the charge during the State Executive Council meeting on Thursday, where he expressed concern that time was running out and emphasized the need to accelerate the pace of governance to meet the needs of the people.

“This is not the time for politics. Let’s focus on helping the people,” the governor said, stressing that service delivery should take precedence over political ambitions.

The governor further called on his commissioners to present meaningful project proposals, assuring them that the necessary approvals would be granted swiftly. He revealed that funds would soon be reallocated to priority areas requiring urgent attention, reaffirming his commitment to serve the people until the final day of his tenure.

According to NIVONEWS, Governor Mohammed also appreciated members of the press for their consistent coverage and objective reporting on his administration since 2019.

Prior to the meeting, the governor swore in 12 new government officials—including permanent secretaries and advisers—urging them to commit themselves fully to the development agenda of the state.

Speaking on behalf of the appointees, Dr. Ibrahim Alhaji Muhammad expressed gratitude to the governor and pledged their unwavering dedication to the tasks ahead.

All newly appointed officials, according to NIVONEWS, have been directed to assume their duties immediately in line with the government’s resolve to fast-track ongoing projects and policies.
