He emphasized that the newly launched Operation Kukan Kura, which has now been fully integrated into the Command’s broader strategic framework, has significantly contributed to the reduction of criminal activities in several parts of Kano State.

“These comprehensive strategies encompass intelligence-driven raids, increased visibility patrols, deeper collaboration with sister security agencies, strategic communications, and grassroots-based community policing initiatives. We continue to engage traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth organizations, NGOs, CSOs, and, importantly, the media,” the commissioner stated.

According to NIVONEWS, CP Bakori said the aim of the press engagement was to brief the public on the Command’s recent breakthroughs, share updates on current crime-fighting mechanisms, and reinforce the police’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property.

He disclosed that a wide array of exhibits had been recovered from the suspects, including dangerous weapons, stolen vehicles, tricycles, motorcycles, mobile phones, counterfeit currencies, and various illicit substances. Among the notable seizures were fake U.S. dollars, chemical agents suspected to be used in narcotics production, and a cache of stolen property.

While thanking residents for their continued cooperation, the commissioner urged the public to remain alert and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police division or through the emergency hotline: 08032419745.

According to NIVONEWS, the arrests and recoveries mark a significant milestone in the Command’s current anti-crime campaign, and authorities have vowed to intensify their efforts in rooting out criminal elements from all corners of Kano State.
