“Supreme Court Don Settle Am!” – Israel DMW Blasts Ighodalo, Says Anointing No Work

Israel DMW, logistics manager to Afrobeats superstar Davido, has mocked former Edo State PDP governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo, following his defeat at the Supreme Court. According to NIVONEWS, Israel DMW mocked Ighodalo on social media, saying that “anointing oil does not win elections in Nigeria,” a veiled jab at Ighodalo’s campaign, which had heavily relied on religious and spiritual endorsements.

In a post that quickly went viral, Israel DMW implied that political strategy and grassroots connection matter more than public displays of spiritual support. According to NIVONEWS, he further wrote, “Election no be crusade ground. E nor dey work like that for Nigeria.”

Ighodalo, who lost to Governor Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had earlier described the election outcome and judicial process as a “robbery validated by the courts.” However, his critics, including Israel DMW, say he failed to build real political momentum.

According to NIVONEWS, this is not the first time Israel DMW has dabbled in political commentary, often using satire to weigh in on national matters, especially those relating to his home state of Edo.
