NAF Unleashes Devastation: Terrorists’ Warehouse Blown to Rubble in Borno Airstrikes

In a statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the Air Force confirmed that precision strikes were conducted on July 6, 2025, against critical terrorist hideouts in the mountainous border region between Nigeria and Cameroon as part of broader efforts to dismantle insurgent networks across the North-East.
The targeted locations—WaJahode and Loghpere—were identified as long-standing fortified strongholds of the Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) faction of Boko Haram.
According to the statement, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations had earlier confirmed increased terrorist presence in the area, including a buildup of logistics supplies and the movement of senior JAS commanders. ISR footage also revealed clusters of structures equipped with solar panels, insurgent flags, and defensive fortifications—signs pointing to an imminent coordinated attack.
“In response, NAF deployed strike aircraft that carried out a series of precision air interdictions, neutralising several terrorists and obliterating critical infrastructure, including logistics hubs, command posts, and protective shelters,” Gabkwet said.
He added that the successful strikes have severely disrupted the terrorists’ supply lines and degraded their operational capabilities.
The Air Force reiterated its commitment to maintaining relentless pressure on insurgents and ensuring the restoration of peace and security in all conflict-affected regions.
