Elon Musk made the announcement on Saturday, just a day after polling his followers on X about the need for a new political party.

The development comes amid a growing rift between the tech billionaire and his former political ally, President Donald Trump.

DAILY POST recalls that Musk had been openly critical of Trump’s administration shortly after leaving his government role.

Musk, who previously headed the Department of Government Efficiency, recently slammed Trump’s proposed “Big, Beautiful Bill,” describing it as reckless and urging lawmakers to reject it.

In a post on X, the Tesla CEO warned that if the “insane spending bill” were passed, he would immediately launch the America Party the following day.
