Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Millet Dantawaye, made a public appeal for intelligence sharing on Sunday during a thanksgiving service at the First Evangelical Church Winning All, Lokoja. The event was held in honour of Mrs. Salami Aderin Eunice, mother of Channels TV correspondent Mr. Segun Salami, who marked her 75th birthday.
Dantawaye highlighted Kogi’s unique security challenge, noting its proximity to nine other states makes it susceptible to criminal infiltration. Despite this, he expressed confidence in the police’s progress and called for continued public support through prayers and timely information.
“I appeal to you—whether from your children’s school, workplace, or church—share any useful intelligence that may help curb crime,” he urged.
He also commended the Kogi State Government’s anti-crime initiatives and emphasized the importance of community collaboration in achieving lasting security. The commissioner concluded by congratulating Mrs. Salami and wishing her continued good health.
