False Promises!’ – Iran Warns World Not to Trust Israel’s Ceasefire Claims”
Iran’s top military commander, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, has expressed deep skepticism over Israel’s commitment to the ceasefire agreement that ended the recent 12-day conflict between both countries, according to a Times of India report.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking during a televised address on Sunday, Mousavi, who serves as Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, warned that Tehran remains fully prepared to retaliate should hostilities resume. He said Iran harbors “serious doubts” about Israel’s willingness to honour the truce.
“We did not initiate the war, but we responded to aggression with full force,” Mousavi stated. “Given our doubts about the enemy’s adherence to the ceasefire and other commitments, we stand ready to respond decisively to any future attack.”
The truce, brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump and announced last Tuesday, paused weeks of violent escalation. One of the most devastating episodes during the hostilities was an Israeli airstrike on Evin Prison in Tehran, which left at least 71 dead, according to Iran’s judiciary. The incident drew global condemnation and intensified scrutiny of the conflict. Despite the ceasefire, tensions remain high, with both countries trading accusations of breaches and provocations.
Iran has raised fresh doubts over Israel’s sincerity in adhering to the ceasefire that ended their latest round of conflict earlier this month. In a statement broadcast on Iranian state TV, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, declared that Iran remains on alert, citing concerns that Israel may not respect the fragile truce.
“We harbor serious doubts about the enemy’s commitment to the ceasefire. While we didn’t start the war, we will respond with full force if aggression resumes,” Mousavi said on Sunday.
The ceasefire, announced last Tuesday by U.S. President Donald Trump, followed nearly two weeks of escalating hostilities. One of the war’s most shocking incidents was the Israeli airstrike on Tehran’s Evin prison, which claimed at least 71 lives and left parts of the facility in ruins. Iran’s judiciary condemned the strike, which drew international criticism.
Despite the temporary calm, mutual suspicion and accusations of violations continue to threaten the truce. Both Tehran and Tel Aviv have signaled that a resurgence in violence remains a possibility.
Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, has cast doubt on Israel’s commitment to the ceasefire that ended a recent 12-day confrontation. Speaking on Sunday, Mousavi emphasized Iran’s readiness to respond forcefully should hostilities reignite.
“We did not initiate this conflict, but we responded with strength,” he said. “And since we remain doubtful of Israel’s intent to uphold the ceasefire, we are fully prepared to act if provoked.”
The ceasefire, brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump, was announced last Tuesday, halting a wave of violence that had included a deadly Israeli airstrike on Evin prison in Tehran, which left at least 71 people dead and drew international condemnation.
While the ceasefire holds, the situation remains tense. Both Iran and Israel continue to trade accusations of aggression, keeping the region on edge.
