President Bola Tinubu on Monday pledged to support the establishment of ranches in Pai community, Kwali Area Council of Abuja, as part of efforts to boost rural livelihoods and promote peaceful coexistence.
He made the commitment while commissioning the newly constructed A2 Junction (from Abuja-Lokoja Expressway) to Pai Road. Expressing gratitude to the residents for their peaceful lifestyle, Tinubu promised to work with local farmers and livestock owners to turn grazing-related challenges into economic opportunities.
“I just came from commissioning a major agricultural mechanisation project. On the way here, I saw signs of potential—opportunities for prosperity, reasons to establish ranches, and a strong case to improve the lives of our rural people,” Tinubu said.
“I thank the traditional leaders and residents of this area for their peaceful way of life. As we collaborate with farmers and herders to provide grazing solutions, we will transform liabilities into assets and conflict into prosperity.”
The President also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to balanced and inclusive infrastructure development. “We are determined to ensure that progress reaches every corner of Nigeria. Rural communities like Pai play a vital role in our economy, especially in food production and local enterprise, but have long suffered from poor road access and neglect. Today marks the beginning of a new era.”
Highlighting the broader efforts of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), FCT Minister Nyesom Wike noted that over 150km of roads have been completed in the FCT over the past two years under Tinubu’s leadership. He added that the current 45km Pai Road project would be extended to Yangoji by year’s end.
Wike expressed appreciation to the President for his consistent support, emphasizing that these infrastructure upgrades are already transforming rural communities.

Atiku Opens Up On ADC 2027 Game Plan, Says Consensus Candidate Comes First.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will first pursue a consensus arrangement before considering a primary election for its 2027 presidential ticket.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Atiku made this known during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday while discussing the party’s leadership and strategy ahead of the next general election.
He said he is open to backing a consensus candidate if that becomes the party’s collective decision, stressing that such support should not be interpreted as stepping aside.
“It is not about stepping aside, but whether I am willing to support, and yes, I will,” Atiku said.
According to him, the ADC’s first priority is to build internal unity and reach an agreement among stakeholders before considering a competitive primary process.
“Our first option will be to work out a consensus. If that doesn’t happen, then of course we will explore other options. And yes, I will support whoever eventually emerges,” he stated.
Atiku also expressed confidence in the political experience within the party, saying he believes a consensus is achievable and may make a full-scale primary contest unnecessary.
“That remains our preferred path. We will go for primaries if consensus fails, but I honestly do not expect it to get to that stage because we are dealing with mature and experienced politicians,” he added.
His comments come amid growing political consultations and coalition talks as parties begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
