This was disclosed by Mr. Husaaini Kabir, a trustee of the Mangal Foundation, during a press briefing held in Katsina on Saturday at the launch of the foundation’s quarterly medical outreach.

Kabir revealed that since the inception of the programme, the foundation has conducted approximately 10 outreach exercises, benefitting no fewer than 3,000 underprivileged individuals. He added that patients who do not require surgery will still receive free medical checkups and medications.

Kabir emphasized that the initiative, part of the foundation’s corporate social responsibility, is designed to give back to society, particularly to support the poor and underserved. Beneficiaries have included residents from across Katsina, neighboring states, and even from Niger Republic.

“Our goal is to ease the burden of healthcare expenses on those who are most in need,” he said, adding that screenings for beneficiaries are currently ongoing at the Amadi Rimi Orthopaedic Hospital in Batagarawa Local Government Area.

Kabir also highlighted that the foundation has engaged top-tier medical professionals and invested in high-quality drugs and surgical equipment to ensure the success of the programme.

He explained that the Mangal Foundation, established in 2016, is dedicated to empowerment, education, health, and development, and has previously sponsored thousands of eye, hernia, and hydrocele surgeries for vulnerable populations.

One of the beneficiaries, Mallam Adamu Aliyu, a staff member at the State Polytechnic, expressed his gratitude for the life-changing opportunity.

“My modest salary can’t cover the cost of surgery. This initiative came at the right time. I pray Almighty Allah rewards the sponsor abundantly,” Aliyu said.
