In a statement released by her spokesperson, Busola Kukoyi, to commemorate Workers’ Day, Mrs. Tinubu expressed her deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by the workforce in driving the country’s growth. She described Nigerian workers as the foundation and engine of the nation’s progress, whether in the public or private sector, formal or informal economy.
“On this special occasion of Workers’ Day, I extend my heartfelt appreciation and congratulations to all Nigerian workers for your unwavering dedication to building our nation,” she said. “May your labour yield abundant rewards, and may our country continue to honour the value of your hard work.”
The First Lady also used the opportunity to reaffirm the significance of dignity in labour and the need for equitable opportunities for all. She concluded her message with well wishes for a prosperous Nigeria and a fulfilling celebration for workers nationwide.
