Kukah Applauds Gov Uba Sani’s Peace Efforts, Urges Greater Support for Kaduna Varsity

During a courtesy visit to the Governor at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House on Tuesday, Kukah expressed deep appreciation for the governor’s support toward the actualization of the university project, which he said builds on the legacy of the former NOK University. He assured that the institution is poised to become one of the country’s premier academic centers.
As the university prepares to commence academic activities by September, Kukah highlighted several pressing needs—including expanded infrastructure, additional land, access roads, vehicles, and enhanced security—stressing the importance of the state’s continued support.
Governor Uba Sani, in his remarks, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the university and broader development goals in Kaduna. He emphasized ongoing collaboration with Bishop Kukah and reiterated that his governance philosophy prioritizes inclusivity across ethnic, religious, and political lines.
The governor also attributed the prevailing peace in Kaduna to his deliberate policy of ensuring development reaches every part of the state, regardless of political affiliations. “There has been no ethnic or religious unrest since I assumed office two years ago,” he noted. “Peace is a product of inclusive governance.”
