Keyamo Urges APC Loyalty, Says Tinubu’s Re-election Crucial for Nigeria’s Progress

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Keyamo emphasized that Tinubu’s re-election is vital for the completion of key reforms currently underway. He warned that the progress made could be reversed if another administration takes over in 2027 and fails to continue the policies already initiated.
“All APC members should prioritize Tinubu’s re-election above personal ambition. He needs another term to fully implement and stabilize the reforms he has started,” Keyamo stated.
He also cited past governance interruptions caused by inconsistent policies, stressing the importance of continuity.
Reacting to the recent defection of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori from the PDP to the APC, Keyamo, who hails from Delta, disclosed that he willingly ceded the state’s party leadership to Oborevwori in order to consolidate party strength and bolster Tinubu’s 2027 prospects.
“Personal losses don’t matter. Strengthening the APC is more important than individual political gains if it ensures President Tinubu’s re-election,” he said.
Keyamo described Delta’s switch as a major win for the APC, noting that the state was historically a key financier of the opposition PDP.
