During the event, Oborevwori emphasized that President Tinubu’s display of goodwill towards Delta State could not be ignored, stating:

“Mr. President has supported us and shown us immense love. We cannot, in good conscience, oppose him in 2027. The only way to properly reciprocate this goodwill is from within the APC.”

He also reassured APC governors that political stakeholders across all levels in Delta State — from state executives to local government and ward representatives — were aligned in the decision to join the APC.

The governor’s defection, alongside other political heavyweights in Delta, marks a significant moment in the region’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 elections.
