The protests were organized by Christian leaders, with the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Plateau State, Rev. Polycarp Lubo, playing a prominent role.

Protesters converged at Fawvwei Junction, blocking a major road and causing significant traffic disruptions that left many commuters stranded. Their actions came as a direct response to a recent surge in deadly attacks, especially in Bokkos and Bassa Local Government Areas, where over 100 people have reportedly been killed in the past two weeks by suspected Fulani militants.

Speaking during the demonstration, protester Gyang Dalyop expressed deep frustration over the unrelenting violence. “We can no longer remain silent while our people are being slaughtered,” he said.

Another protester, Hannatu Philip, issued a stern warning to the government, urging immediate intervention to prevent further escalation of the crisis.

With placards bearing urgent messages, the demonstrators marched toward the Rayfield Government House, demanding swift and concrete action from authorities to restore peace and ensure the safety of lives and property in the region.
