Kaduna Police Arrest Six Kidnap Suspects, Recover Firearms in Multiple Operations

The Kaduna State Police Command has apprehended six individuals believed to be involved in various kidnapping activities across the state. According to the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, the suspects were arrested during operations conducted in Tafa, Kagarko Local Government Area (LGA), Saminaka in Lere LGA, and the Ikara LGA.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

One of the suspects, Isa Ibrahim, was apprehended on Thursday, April 17, 2025, while seeking refuge at Gida Abe. The 30-year-old man admitted to being a member of a kidnapping syndicate in Kwara State. He also disclosed that after his associates were arrested in Kwara, he moved to Kaduna with the intention of forming a new gang.

In another operation on the same day, police detained two other suspects, Sani Liman and Murtala Magaji, in Lamido village, Lere. Both suspects confessed to their involvement in several kidnapping incidents in the region.

Furthermore, on Friday, April 18, 2025, two individuals were arrested for illegal arms possession in Ikara LGA. Bajo, a resident of Vom Quarters in Jos, Plateau State, and Magaji Abdullahi, from Bebeji LGA in Kano State, were found in possession of two locally-made AK-47 rifles.

A separate police patrol team also arrested another group of suspected gunrunners along the Kauru-Pambegua Road, recovering two locally-manufactured rifles concealed in a sack.

The police confirmed that all suspects are currently in custody, cooperating with ongoing investigations, and providing critical information. Efforts are underway to apprehend additional accomplices still on the run.
