According to currency traders in Lagos, the dollar is being purchased at ₦1600 and sold at ₦1607 in the black market, reflecting the persistent volatility in the Nigerian foreign exchange landscape.

It’s important to note that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not officially recognize rates from the parallel market. The CBN continues to advise individuals and businesses seeking foreign exchange to transact through authorized financial institutions.

Meanwhile, the CBN official rates showed a buying price as low as ₦1595 and a selling rate as high as ₦1603, underscoring the disparity between official and unofficial markets.
