2027: Tinubu, Shettima Unshaken by Desperate Political Intrigues – Presidential Spokesman

Speaking to Leadership, Stanley Nwokocha, the spokesperson for Vice President Kashim Shettima, said the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains focused on governance and delivering on its economic agenda, not political distractions.
Nwokocha criticized some opposition figures and former party members who are reportedly forming alliances to unseat the current administration, describing their tactics as entitled and counterproductive.
“Neither President Tinubu nor Vice President Shettima is currently concerned with 2027 politics,” he asserted. “Their primary concern is steering Nigeria through its current economic challenges and delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
He added that Vice President Shettima is particularly focused on driving key government programmes and supporting the President’s vision for economic recovery and national development.
Highlighting recent achievements, Nwokocha referenced the Central Bank of Nigeria’s $6.83 billion surplus in the 2024 fiscal year as evidence of the administration’s success in reviving the economy.
He warned that the opposition’s attempt to create disunity in the presidency under the guise of political ambition is both harmful and shortsighted.
“Such brazen efforts to stir crisis will not bring victory to those involved,” he emphasized. “Instead, it undermines national interest and the hard work being put into rebuilding the country.”
Nigeria’s Minister of Regional Development, Engr.
