Boko Haram Now Governs Three Borno Communities – Senator Ndume

Senator Ali Ndume has revealed that Boko Haram terrorists have effectively taken control of three communities in Borno State, where no civil government currently operates.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, Ndume, who represents Borno South, identified the affected communities as Gudumbali (Guzamala LGA), Marte, and Abadam. He affirmed that there is “no civil authority” in these areas—only the dominance of the insurgent group.

Ndume’s statement echoes concerns recently voiced by Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, who warned that the state is “losing ground” in the fight against insurgents. Zulum highlighted daily attacks and kidnappings in communities across the state, calling for urgent reinforcement of security measures.

Senator Ndume, a prominent member of the ruling APC, criticized the insufficient equipping of security forces, warning that the insurgency is spreading rapidly across the North-East.

“Since November last year, we’ve recorded over 250 attacks in the state,” Ndume stated. “More than 100 soldiers and nearly 300 civilians have been killed, while our troops have eliminated over 800 terrorists during the same period,” he added.

Despite these counter-offensives, he warned that the persistent assaults show the militants are far from defeated, and the Nigerian government must act swiftly to prevent further territorial losses.
