Kaduna Police Arrest Fake Officer Over Threats Of Reprisal Attack Related To Uromi Incident

In an official statement, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, clarified that the suspect, identified as Hadaina Hussaini (aka Dan-taki), is not and has never been an officer of the Nigeria Police Force or a serving member of the Kaduna State Police Command.
The statement emphasized that the image of Hussaini in police uniform circulating online is misleading. It was taken during his time as a member of the Police Special Constabulary, a voluntary arm of the police. He was dismissed two years ago from that position due to misconduct and questionable behavior.
“The image in question, showing him in uniform, was shared on Facebook two years ago prior to his dismissal,” the statement noted. “His uniform includes a badge labeled ‘PSC/KD’, indicating his former status as a Police Special Constable, not a full police officer.”
Hussaini has since been taken into custody and, according to the police, will be prosecuted in accordance with the law after the conclusion of preliminary investigations.
The Command reiterated its commitment to peace and order, stating:
“The Nigeria Police Force remains a disciplined and professional institution. We do not tolerate incitement, hate speech, or threats to national unity.”
The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabi’u Muhammad (psc, mni), urged the public to remain calm and vigilant, encouraging citizens to report any suspicious activities or persons to the authorities promptly.
