Asefon expressed his appreciation during a gathering in Ado Ekiti, where he distributed food palliatives and cash gifts to around 700 Christians from 13 wards within the Ado Ekiti Local Government. This initiative was part of the Renewed Hope Food Initiative.

He highlighted the unwavering support from President Tinubu and his son, Seyi Tinubu, for Nigerian students through the provision of education loans and scholarships. According to Asefon, billions of Naira have been disbursed to thousands of students to facilitate the completion of their education.

Reflecting on Tinubu’s commitment to education, Asefon noted that the president has significantly alleviated financial burdens on parents by enabling students to access interest-free loans, repayable upon gaining employment. He emphasized that the NELFUND does not require connections to those in power, making it accessible to all eligible students.

Asefon also recognized the efforts of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, in aligning with Tinubu’s vision for education by fostering unity among past and current leaders in the state. Additionally, Ekiti State Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Sola Elesin, called on citizens to support the administration’s initiatives, noting that collaborative efforts are vital in driving socio-economic progress.

Asefon reaffirmed his dedication to Tinubu’s vision by distributing free JAMB forms and providing assistance to widows, aged citizens, and various religious groups, stressing the importance of unity regardless of religious beliefs. He described himself as a firm advocate of Tinubu’s welfarist governance approach, which prioritizes the well-being of all Nigerians.

Highlighting Tinubu’s achievements, Asefon stated that no previous Nigerian president has allocated as much budget to education. Furthermore, he noted that Tinubu’s proactive measures have helped maintain academic stability, preventing the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) from embarking on strikes, which has positively impacted the global ranking of Nigerian universities.

Hon. Sola Elesin urged citizens to continue supporting Tinubu and Governor Oyebanji, recognizing their efforts to elevate both education and the overall socio-economic landscape.
