Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has reportedly turned down lucrative offers from Saudi Arabian clubs, opting to stay at Old Trafford, according to news report.  The 28-year-old shot-stopper has faced challenges since joining the Red Devils, with his debut season marred by inconsistent performances. Despite these difficulties, Onana remains committed to improving and playing a key role in United’s efforts to recover from a disappointing campaign, as they currently sit in 13th place in the Premier League standings.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Several ambitious clubs from the Saudi Pro League have expressed interest in acquiring Onana, seeing him as a valuable addition to their squads. However, his decision to remain at United highlights his determination to prove himself and help the team rebuild.

Manchester United’s part-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, recently addressed Onana’s situation, emphasizing that the current management inherited the Cameroon international as part of previous transfer decisions. Onana, who was signed for £47.2 million, remains a key figure in the club’s squad planning despite the ongoing restructuring.

Ratcliffe commented on the club’s roster, stating, “If you look at the players we are buying this summer, that we didn’t buy, we’re buying Antony, we’re buying Casemiro, we’re buying Onana, we’re buying [Rasmus] Hojlund, we’re buying [Jadon] Sancho. These are all things from the past, whether we like it or not, we’ve inherited those things and have to sort that out.”

While Onana remains committed to the club, uncertainty surrounds other high-profile signings. United recently loaned out Antony, their most expensive recent signing, while Casemiro, one of the club’s top earners, has also expressed a desire to stay. However, persistent interest from Saudi clubs could influence future transfer decisions at Old Trafford.

Despite the turbulent season, Onana’s commitment to Manchester United signals his intent to solidify his place in Erik ten Hag’s squad and contribute to the club’s long-term ambitions.

A Strong Endorsement for Donald Duke

  • Surpassing Competitors: Speaking during an interview, Baba-Ahmed confidently stated that, candidate for candidate, Donald Duke outperforms all other presidential contenders currently in the political space.

  • Integrity and Capability: He described Duke as part of a visionary leadership blueprint aimed at thinking critically, restoring national dignity, exhibiting true integrity, and offering young Nigerians a leadership style they can genuinely look up to.

The Strategic Push for an Opposition Coalition

Despite possessing what he considers the superior candidate, Baba-Ahmed explained why the party is actively championing a broader political alliance:

  • Consensus Over Ego: The PRP chairman emphasized that the party’s push for a mega-coalition is driven by consensus and constitutional processes rather than forcing Duke’s candidacy through on profile strength alone.

  • Defeating Fault Lines: Framing the 2027 election as a critical turning point for the nation, Baba-Ahmed noted that the stakes go far beyond individual party ambitions. The coalition aims to unite likeminded opposition forces to rescue Nigeria from its current trajectory and bridge its deep fault lines.
