Pastor Buru presented over one hundred plastic kettles during the mosque’s grand opening on Friday, emphasizing that the donation was part of his efforts to strengthen Christian-Muslim relations and foster religious tolerance in the region. The event also commemorated the one-year anniversary of the tragic drone attack on the community, which killed several worshippers celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Special prayers were offered for the victims, and the mosque was officially opened for prayers. Pastor Buru explained that the church’s visit was to show support for the Muslim community and promote peace between the two faiths. He stressed the importance of unity, highlighting that both Christians and Muslims share common beliefs and ancestry.

Additionally, Pastor Buru noted the church’s tradition of supporting mosques during difficult times, such as fires and storms. Mallam Ibrahim Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, who received the donation, expressed his gratitude for the church’s generosity, which included prayer mats, historical trees, and the plastic kettles for the worshippers.

He also approved an amendment extending the lifespan of the 2025 budget from March 31 to June 30, 2026, to ensure completion of ongoing capital projects nationwide.

Under the 2026 fiscal plan, ₦4.799 trillion is set aside for statutory transfers, ₦15.8 trillion for debt servicing, ₦15.4 trillion for recurrent spending, while ₦32.2 trillion goes to capital projects—about half of the total budget.

The focus, according to the administration, is on infrastructure development, security, and growth-driven investments aimed at improving living standards.
